An exciting full-time opportunity as a Digital and Social Communication Lead/Associate Director has arisen to support the on-going evolution and transformation of our UK digital and social media capabilities and focus. The role will report to the Director of Corporate Policy & Communications.
This role sits within the Global Corporate Affairs organisation. In the UK, Corporate Affairs leads and delivers our company's policy and communications activities, including corporate policy and communications, franchise policy and communications, internal communications and social and digital communications.
In leading for digital and social communications, you will be responsible for prioritisation of campaigning; utilisation and management of the channels as well as ensuring a cohesive voice and presence.
You will sit within a team of digital and community managers.
Responsibilities will include:
Driving the development and delivery of the UK’s digital and social media communications vision & strategy alongside the Director – to include but not limited to corporate and franchise social media including channel management and campaign development and execution as well as the corporate website.
Developing, activating and analysing delivery of campaigns – both corporate and franchise and allocating resourcing across the team to support campaigns
Working with the team to further embed decision making, prioritisation and operational effectiveness across digital and social communications
Ensuring effective governance and processes are in place and regularly tested
Building strong cross-functional working; acting as the connector between Corporate Affairs; business units and marketing teams; strategy and commercial operations; business insights, the Enterprise Social Media group.
Engaging teams to maximise on the opportunity of our digital and social platforms – including ways to train and upskill teams.
Supporting the delivery of our channel content strategy and presence – how we tell our story through our digital channels and activities.
Ensuring data and analytics underpins our campaign focus as well as review of impact and advancement – ensuring metrics, evaluation and insights to drive decision making

Skills/experience and qualifications:
Experience in developing strategies and/or creating content for digital and social media
Leadership experience
Demonstrated track record of analysing social media performance and making strategic improvements
Experience with social media calendar development, scheduling platforms and advanced targeting techniques
Experience working in a cross-functional environment
Experience managing multiple stakeholders
Experience working on multiple projects at one time
Experience with sales, marketing or promotion development within the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry
Experience working with external agencies
This role is predominantly head office based, full time, with some travel as required for UK meetings/stakeholder meetings and occasional overseas meetings.
