The Opportunity:


NCC Group is a FTSE-listed company with purpose at its heart – to help create a more secure digital future. Within NCC group there are two market-leading global businesses: Cyber and Software Escrow. The Associate Director of Data, Reporting and MI is a pivotal role at NCC Group, responsible for leading the data analytics and reporting team. The role will be accountable for maintaining data quality standards, data ownership and business insights across the group, with significant engagement with C-Suite stakeholders. This position will drive the development and execution of our data and reporting strategy, ensuring that we have access to accurate, relevant, and actionable information to guide our business decisions. The candidate will have a deep understanding of Data analysis, reporting tools, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Data Strategy: Develop and execute a data strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, ensuring the collection, storage, and accessibility of relevant data with appropriate data quality rules and ownership across business functions
  • Data Analysis: Oversee data analysis activities, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Use statistical, machine learning, and other data analysis techniques to gain insights.
  • Reporting: Lead the development and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders, leveraging our Power BI and Azure Synapse technology platforms.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality and accuracy through data governance, data cleansing, and data validation processes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Data analysts and reporting specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data and reporting needs, and proactively provide insights that drive improvements.
  • Technology Utilization: Evaluate and implement data analysis and reporting tools and technologies that can enhance our capabilities and efficiency.
  • Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and other relevant laws, to protect sensitive information.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting, and integrate them into our processes.


Desirable Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Proven experience in owning, formulating and delivering a corporate wide Data strategy targeting all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume backlog of work and prioritise according to business value measures, and deliver through team.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making, with significant experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Data analysis tools and languages, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, including C-Suite
  • Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations.
  • Results-oriented with a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making.
