Join MAF UK, a unique Christian charity committed to transforming lives through aviation and technology. As a Legacy Events & Digital Marketing Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in our Legacy Marketing team, contributing to our mission to serve isolated communities in need.

Key Responsibilities:

1.  Digital Marketing

  • Plan and create engaging content for social media, e-communications, and web pages promoting legacies, in-memory giving, and tribute funds.
  • Develop compelling legacy and tribute fund promotional videos.
  • Launch and oversee digital legacy events, ensuring seamless arrangements and developing content to captivate a wider audience.

2.  Face-to-Face Events

  • Project manage small-scale legacy events, including briefing speakers and the staff team.
  • Collaborate with the Legacy Marketing Administrator, Legacy Manager, and external event providers in planning and logistics.
  • Assist in implementing the flagship annual legacy event, contributing to PowerPoint presentations.

3.  Financial/Strategic

  • Contribute significantly to the growth of pledgers, intenders, and enquirers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legacy Manager in shaping MAF’s legacy marketing strategy, communications, and plans.
  • Write inspirational copy for legacy and tribute fund marketing communications.

4.  Equipping the Volunteer Team

  • Deliver motivational presentations at annual Volunteer conferences to encourage Volunteer speakers in promoting legacy and tribute fund giving.
  • Develop engaging resources for Volunteers, including printed materials and multimedia presentations.

5.  Tribute Funds

  • Oversee and develop the promotion of In Memory and Wings of Hope tribute funds.
  • Establish measurement systems to gauge the impact of marketing activities against departmental KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Legacy Marketing Administrator to review and implement processes for stewardship and encourage further giving.
  • Regularly promote tribute funds through various channels, both online and offline.

6.  Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legacy and tribute fund marketing through attendance at relevant training/events.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level.
  • Digital marketing experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong planning skills – able to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft applications.
  • Creative and innovative mindset.
  • Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a charity/fundraising environment or Christian organisation.
  • Organising events experience.
  • Proficient in social media and web development software.
  • Understanding of fundraising within charities.
  • Experience in creating and editing video clips.

Terms and Conditions  

  • Location: This role is base at the MAF UK Offices in Folkestone, Kent.  We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. This will be discussed at interview.
  • Working Hours: At least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid. Hours should be agreed with line manager.
  • Annual Leave: Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year plus the Christmas/New Year office closure and 8 paid public holidays per year.
  • Pension Scheme: Non-contributory (10% of salary).
  • Probation and Notice Period: 3 months each.
  • Salary: £31,500 per annum
