Form of workOur client is looking for an Associate Director to lead their rapidly growing team based in Birmingham. Working across multiple sectors including rail, commercial, healthcare, industrial, retail and residential, you will be responsible for building a strong project team by overseeing technical design, leading projects and managing stakeholders. You will also be expected to contribute to the identification of new leads and securing new and repeat business in the region. This role would therefore ideally suit an Associate or Technical Director who is proficient in all Structural Engineering competencies. The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual seeking an autonomous role where they can put their own stamp on a new team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and growing the office in Birmingham.
- Developing business with new and existing clients.
- Overseeing technical designs and project delivery.
- Running and managing resources in the delivery of these projects.
Skills & Experience Required:
- BEng/MSc (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering
- Chartered with ICE/IStructE
- Proven ability to lead Structural Engineering teams.
- Good local knowledge and contacts.
- Extensive business development and client facing experience.
- Proficient within all technical aspects of the structural discipline.
