Associate - General Farm Assistant

We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a flexible hourly-paid General Farm Assistant to become part of our Land & Environment department. As a General Farm Assistant, you will play a role in the success of our students through: To contribute to the day to day running of the Kingshill Farm including weekend and evening rota cover To participate in the care of livestock including sheep and Cattle to include all routine husbandry duties during Lambing and Calving periods To participate in arable operations including crop establishment and harvest Our ideal candidates will have relevant current vocational experience in the agricultural sector and experience of caring for livestock in a range of different settings, alongside the following qualifications: Level 3 in agriculture (or working towards) English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational values: Student centred - At our heart is always doing what is best for our students. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you.  Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
