Associate Lecturer in Law

Location: Jenny Lind Building Post Type: Hourly Paid Contract Type: Temporary The University of Worcester is seeking Associate Lecturersin Law to join its expanding Law School. The school opened in 2016 and has four very successful undergraduate LLB Programmes. In September 2022, the School introduced a new LLM in Legal Practice course, as well as a new Professional Policing Degree. We aim to ensure that our students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they are able to contribute to this aspiration in a very practical, flexible and engaging way. The successful applicant(s) will form part of a highly enthusiastic and motivated team delivering the LLB and LLM Programmes at the Law School. Associate Lecturers are required to teach at least one of the Foundations of Legal Knowledge subjects on the LLB, and to contribute to other areas of the curriculum.  We are particularly interested in attracting professionals with knowledge and experience of the following areas: Land Law Wills, Trusts and Probate (Equity and Trusts)  If you are successful at interview you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. If only an element of this work if offered which does not involve additional preparation and administration a standard hourly rate will apply, currently £19.23 plus £4.23 holiday pay.If you have any queries regarding this please contact us on or discuss it with us at interview.
