As a Project Manager (m/f/d) for Modular Systems in Energy Technology, you will be responsible for offers and deliveries of customer-specific solutions and will work on these projects for customers on the German market. Solutions may include gas and air-insulated switchgear including ancillary equipment such as transformers, low-voltage and cable systems or complete building solutions. In this exciting role, you can also incorporate your sales affinity into project management and get the best out of it for ABB and the customer.
Your responsibilities
- Technical and commercial order clarification with the customer and responsibility for risk assessment based on calculations and technical drawings
- Analysis of the requirements specification and feasibility check, preparation of quotations, selection of suitable suppliers (internal and external) and processing of customer orders, as well as
- Project structuring for orders with complex scope of delivery
- Close cooperation with sales, the customer, production, purchasing and the head of project management
- Schedule management of the individual process steps and cost management during project execution - Reporting to the management or business unit management in the event of risks or major deviations in the project
- Reporting on the progress of the completed project as part of the project review
- Responsibility for the overall project and accompanying internal and external customer acceptances
- Organizing and monitoring installation and commissioning on the construction site
- Identifying and following up on customer potential directly on site at the customer's premises or on construction sites with the aim of winning follow-up projects for us
Your background
- Completed studies in electrical engineering - ideally with a focus on Energy Technology. Alternatively, further training as a master craftsman/technician supplemented with construction site experience
- Several years of professional experience in project management (incl. construction site experience) or in project sales, ideally in the field of energy supply and distribution
- Experience in the commissioning of medium/low voltage technology is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- Experienced with MS Office applications and SAP
- Solution-oriented thinking and acting Structured way of working and the ability to communicate confidently at different levels
