Form of workThis firm are seeking ambitious advocates (barristers, solicitor advocates, or experienced solicitors as tribunal advocates) to join their Birmingham office.
You'll support London-based health and social care regulators and Midlands-based education sector clients.
As an advocate in the Regulatory Division, you'll primarily present cases at final hearings and represent regulators at interim application and case management hearings. This includes handling cases involving dishonesty, fraud, sexual misconduct, and deficient professional performance. You'll also contribute to case direction, from evidence reviews to written applications and advice on legal issues.
Depending on experience, you may appear in the High Court and First Tier Tribunal on appeals from regulator decisions. Opportunities also exist for involvement in continuous improvement projects, training for panel members, and advisory work.
Skills and Experience:
- Successful candidates will join an experienced team of lawyers, advocates, and paralegals.
- Advocacy experience, especially in a disciplinary context, is essential, though candidates from other sectors with relevant skills will be considered.
