Our offer:
We offer the opportunity to undertake your ASYE in various teams across Children’s Social Care, now known as Supporting Families. You will be asked for your team preferences if your application is shortlisted, and we will endeavour to put you forward for one of your team choices if successful at interview., We offer a competitive salary starting salary at Grade I-K - £42,855 this will go up to £44,862 once you pass your first year of ASYE and you will also be eligible for an annual travel card covering zones 2-3. We are committed to developing excellent Social Work practitioners and if you choose to work with us you will benefit from:
- In your first year of practice, you will have a dedicated practice leader to support you through the learning and assessment involved in this first year.
- You will have a diverse caseload and good quality reflective supervision
- In the second year of practice, you can opt in to continue having additional reflective supervision and are encouraged to do a consolidation module.
- In the following three years the Learning Academy will work with you to consider the best way to develop you support through our Steps to Success Program for your ASYE
and beyond
- This includes a range of opportunities to undertake further study and complete Post-Qualifying modules through our partner universities post ASYE
Tower Hamlets provides wide-ranging and excellent training and development opportunities, which include university accredited courses, e-learning, online classroom-based training and on the go opportunities. Requirement
Please note that to apply for these posts you must meet the following criteria:
- Be anticipating successful completion of your social work course and subsequent Social Work England registration by proposed date October 2024
- Have completed your social work qualification within the last 2 years
- Not have commenced and not completed your ASYE elsewhere
Interview
If successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to partake in test stage 1 and 2 of the interview process (a group challenge and written exercise) on the 10th to 13th of June 2024.
If successful in stage 1 and 2, you will be invited for a panel interview stage 3 the 24th to 27th of June 2024. Please hold these dates
All interviews will take place face to face in Tower Hamlets Town Hall in Whitechapel.
