Position: Attendance Coordinator

Location: Bexley

Salary: £12.50 - £15.50 per hour

Hours: 36 hours per week - term time (38 weeks)

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure consistent and robust attendance procedures, aligning with the school's vision of achieving excellence and securing an 'Ofsted Outstanding' rating. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to address attendance concerns and implement effective strategies for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders to address attendance matters proactively.
• Track and record absence reasons using the SIMS system.
• Provide guidance to form tutors on enhancing student attendance.
• Monitor and analyze attendance data, generating reports as needed.
• Conduct meetings with parents to address attendance and punctuality issues.
• Undertake home visits to support students and families in enhancing attendance.
• Facilitate communication with families through letters and phone calls to encourage attendance.
• Prepare documentation for rare cases requiring court proceedings.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in administrative tasks with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a positive approach to challenges.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Desirable: Familiarity with SIMS database (or similar platforms like Bromcom) and previous experience in a school environment.
