As the Audio Test & Validation Engineeryou will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of premium audio solutions for luxury vehicles. As a key member of the team, you will have a vital role in ensuring that audio systems are delivered to the highest standards of quality and within the timing requirements set by the vehicle programmes. With your expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence, you will help us create an unparalleled audio experience for our customers. The Audio Group is a key part of the Infotainment function within our Digital Product Platform, and focuses on concept, development, integration, and Test of the latest audio & active noise control solutions across the whole JLR product range.The team are dedicated to shaping the future of automotive audio and active noise control. They collaborate with industry-leading partners to develop innovative products and systems that provide our customers with an immersive and exciting audio experience.

 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute audio sub-system test strategies in alignment with project timelines
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, delivering, and reporting of test cases to support requirements, including use cases and negative use cases
  • Execute test cases through manual or automated means, and develop strategies, assets, and infrastructure to support fully automated testing where possible
  • Take ownership of test assets such as test plans, test cases, and Test reports, ensuring they are in audit-compliant and appropriate formats
  • Investigate quality issues and analyse test results, identifying and executing appropriate reproduction strategies when needed
  • Collect ideas for continuous improvement of products and provide feedback to the team for iterative design improvements
  • Take ownership of supplier relationships related to test strategies and execution, including test coverage and approach

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

Essential:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in executing and reporting on test plans to satisfy requirements of a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and ability to facilitate acquisition and deployment of test rigs/facilities.
  • Experience in scripting and executing manual and automated tests.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical ideas and issues to all levels of the company.
  • Effective change and configuration management skills.
  • Hold a formal qualification such as degree within Systems Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or relevant equivalent experience.
