Position:Audit & Compliance Manager

Location: Belfast with regular travel across Ireland bases

Salary: £30-35k (OTE up to £38k)

As Audit & Compliance Manager, you will assist the Head of Compliance in maintaining a fully compliant business across the island of Ireland, focusing on recruitment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Running and developing weekly reports, targeted on high statutory/internal procedure risk areas to ensure fully adequate and early flagging systems, with accompanying training and follow ups

* Remain alert to modern slavery ‘red flags’, immediately escalating these plus any other risks to the Head of Compliance or the Group HR Director

* Submit an effective, structured internal audits programme for annual sign off by the Head of Compliance and proactively manage the same, ensuring all relevant legislative standards across NI and ROI are covered and internal process consistency achieved

* Produce comprehensive and timely audit reports for sharing with management, recommending and providing additional follow up development support where identified

* Act as a key point of contact and credible advisor for both internal compliance queries through monitoring of the Compliance Helpdesk Inbox, and for external audits, co-ordinating these where necessary

* Investigate legislative changes and ensure updates are communicated efficiently across the business

* Support the management of numerous accreditations, certificates and standards across NI and ROI, including the Quality Management System

* Updating policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and internal standards

* Creating new process documents and procedures in line with business needs

* Assisting the Head of Compliance with training in personnel, including creating content for in person training and e-learning from time to time

* Manage business and client information for continuous improvement including, but not limited to feedback collation and issuing/analysing worker and client surveys

* Contribute to a weekly executive brief report issued to the Group HR Director, plus any other data reports as required from time to time

* Provide full cover for the Compliance department when required, deputising in the absence of the Head of Compliance

* Liaise with external agencies as required

* Represent the business in a professional manner by taking part in external organisation/partner forums as requested from time to time

Essential Criteria:

* 2 years+ experience in a compliance focussed role

* In-depth knowledge of both NI and RoI recruitment legislation and best practice

* Demonstrative good track record in process and best practice compliance, to include policy writing

* Excellent communication and presentation skills

* Good coaching and influencing skills

* 2 x A Level Qualifications as a minimum

* Excellent IT skills to include reporting via MS Excel plus working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Word

* Strong communication skills both verbal and written

* Full, clean driving licence as travel required or appropriate access to transport for regular travel and occasional overnight stays

Desirable Criteria:

* Experience of completing audits and producing audit reports

* Working knowledge of professional recruitment in NI and RoI

* Third Level business related qualification
