Job Purpose 

• Provide high level oversight of a busy audit function, ensuring effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance across the firm
• Review hot and cold audit and assurance files
• Identify new audit guidance and processes in line with the ever-evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, relevant issues, and review findings
• Manage relationships with external audit reviewers
• Lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters, including managing regulatory visits and implementing recommendations
• Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and skill sharing across the firm
• Plan and perform on-site audit due diligence visits and following up on post-completion file reviews
• Set an example as a hands-on Director

The Successful Candidate 

• A proven track record operating at Audit RI or Audit Senior Manager level within an ICAEW or ACCA registered firm
• Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience
• Strong leadership skills with good people management skills
• Excellent communication and advisory skills
• Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Self-motivated, hands-on and highly organised
• A team player that enjoys encouraging others to reach higher 
• Constructive mentor to junior team members
• Confident in networking and representing the firm in a professional manner
