Audit Manager

Our client is a large independent accounting and business advisory firm, providing accounting services and business advice across the UK, serving multiple sectors. As demand for their services within the Not for Profit sector grows, they require an experienced Audit Manager to join and play a leading role in this division.

As Audit Manager you will plan, organise, and manage a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Services department focusing primarily on leading Not For Profit specialism, providing a cost-effective, timely, quality service to the client, to enhance client experience and productivity for the firm at the same time. In addition to client management, the role will contribute to overall practice development, particularly in the area of audit, accounts preparation, and outsourcing work for corporate and NFP clients.

The ideal candidate for the role of Audit Manager will be:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (ideally FCA or FCCA)
• A minimum of 4 years post qualification proven experience within an audit practice environment
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing staff within a practice environment
• Experience in leading Not For Profit Audits
• In-depth knowledge of audit and accounts preparation specifically NFP
• Corporate taxation knowledge
• Solid MS Office product knowledge and computer literacy
• Ability to review and complete audit and accounts files quickly and efficiently
• Strong active listening skills
• Excellent problem-resolution skills and ideas generation ability
• Strong marketing, networking, and business development skills
• Proactive management skills, resulting in high-performance teams
