Audit Manager

A chartered accountants renowned for excellent professional services regarding business services, tax advice & consultancy is looking for an Audit Manager to join their team located in the Poole area. The company in question have a great reputation as one of the most successful and professional chartered accountancy firms in Dorset but pride themselves on offering a tailored service to suit the needs of each of their clients. With this success they are continuing to grow as a business and expand their client reach and service lines.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Responsible Individual (RI) to design and execute tailored audit approaches based on the requirements and risk assessments conducted for each audit assignment given.
* Supervising the audit team, ensuring that audit risks are identified and addressed, and that efficient testing is completed so that audit opinions can be formed.
* Providing the RI with any documentation or files that they require which highlight the identified risks during the planning and field work stages so that these can be reviewed carefully.
* Planning audit work that needs to be completed, ensuring it is within budget and is effective in addressing the requirements set out.
* Leading the audit team to assist and coach junior members in their roles', ensuring work is done correctly and that areas for improvement area highlighted.
* If any issues arise with the client or work, keeping the RI informed and updated.
* Providing thorough and relevant feedback to the client regarding the audit itself and their accounting systems and processes in order to support their development and meet the requirements of the assignment.
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will be ACCA/ACA qualified and have exhibited great prior service within auditing inside of an accountancy firm. Applicants should also be well versed in multiple areas of audit, including UK Auditing, taxation and also accounting standards and will be expected to keep their technical knowledge up to date. Alongside this, applicants should have excellent organisational skills, and strong communication abilities, particularly when conversing with clients in order to build strong relationships. Leadership skills will be invaluable and previous experience managing or supervising a team or staff members will be sought, this is so the successful applicant can effectively supervise the audit team with testing and fieldwork.
