The opportunity:
A highly exciting opportunity to join our Edinburgh team as a key part of our leadership. You will be working closely with our Audit Partner group across Central Scotland and will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable network within the firm. Our Edinburgh office is conveniently located in Haymarket and holds around 110 colleagues, with around 30 in audit. In addition, you would work closely with our teams in Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen. This position would be an excellent growth opportunity with defined progression and development routes, partnered with the support to get you there.
Day to day duties
- Effectively manage a portfolio of commercial clients
- Developing new client relationships to ensure business growth
- Planning and managing audit procedures, ensuring they are completed by the set deadline
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge about company standards, policies and regulations
- Providing support to ensure timely completion of audit projects, including monitoring turnaround and reviewing audit files
- Managing expenses and staffing to increase revenue
- Addressing client concerns
- Monitoring budget and WIP on assignments
- Manage the end to end audit process, including budgets and timescales and will ideally act as RI
What are we looking for?
- Ideally hold RI status
- Ability to analyse complex business situations to identify key issues and priorities
- ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualified and will possess a senior level experience and the ability to manage a large portfolio of clients, whilst leading a team
- Confident communicator
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems and take appropriate action
- Ideally experienced working with a commercial client base
