Audit & Quality Assurance Officer

Who You Are

You are an experienced Audit & Quality Assurance officer, with a specialization in special education needs and disability (SEND). You should have a strong background in SEND and a demonstrated history in undertaking case auditing and Quality Assurance work. A clear understanding of legislation, government guidelines and Data Protection Act 1998 is crucial. You have a commitment to equal opportunities and a good understanding of the Children and Young People’s Services sector. You also have good interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills, and you are able to support the development of professional skills across the service.

What the Job Involves

The primary purpose of this job is to support the Quality Assurance Service Head of Service to design, develop, deliver, and implement an audit and Quality Assurance programme for Children’s Services. You will be expected to promote and develop an understanding of audit and Quality Assurance in Children’s Social Care and SEND to raise practice standards. In conjunction with the Head of Services, you will identify, plan, and carry out periodic audits, and then report the findings and recommendations while developing ensuing action plans. Also, you will be translating audit findings into learning and development programmes, working with service managers to implement required changes. This role involves a high level of responsibility for analysis, reporting, coaching, and continuous improvement streams throughout the service. Other duties include maintaining confidentiality according to the Data Protection Act 1998. The job is for 3 months & offers £50ph limited status.
