Job Description
- Manage the approach to Engagement Quality Control Review and hot review teams, undertaking reviews and providing live feedback to audit teams
- Supporting audit teams through regulatory file inspections
- Actively supporting and contributing to relevant technical groups including NAO technical networks and a range of panels and boards
- Developing and delivering training for Public Sector auditors
- Responding to audit approach queries from auditors and providing ad hoc support for audit teams on complex issues
- Drafting responses to consultations on Public Sector audit matters
- Delivering VFM consistency panels, reviews and challenge to audit teams and engagement leads
The Successful Applicant
- Accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CA (or equivalent)
- Experience in Audit Quality or Audit Experience with a passion to develop in this area
- Good knowledge of the NAO Code of Audit Practice and how this is applied in local government and NHS sectors in England
- Good understanding of underlying International Standards on Auditing (UK)
- Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
