Automation Gate Engineer

Auto-gate and Security Systems Engineers required

Vacancy for highly skilled, experienced multi-skilled field-based auto gate and security systems engineers

Securafit are a well-established manufacturer and installer of automated gates, access control, intercoms, CCTV and other security systems. We are seeking highly skilled engineers to join our team of field engineers to repair, install and maintain these assets to an industry leading standard. You will be working with a professional field and office based team, and will be provided with a quality, fully equipped and stocked van, plus laptop, mobile phone and all other tools, equipment, and uniform required.

Responsibilities

• Reactive repair and proactive maintenance of automated gates, access control, CCTV and other security systems.
• Investigating faults reported to a very thorough standard.
• Inspecting installs for compliance with safety standards.
• Proactively making recommendations for upgrades required or desirable for compliance or reliability reasons.
• Written and photographic reporting on findings in a coherent and comprehensive manner.
• Communicating with clients clearly & professionally.

Experience/Skills

• Compliance with safety standards.
• Installation, upgrade and repair of all types of automated gates.
• Installation, upgrade and repair of a variety of other security systems.
• Integration between systems.
• Networking.
• Welding would be advantageous but not essential.

• Must be a confident communicator.
• Need to have a calm and logical approach to complex problem solving under pressure.
• Ability to be forensic when required to seek out complex or hidden faults 7in order to resolve intermittent or involved faults.
• Enthusiastic and tenacious approach to work.
• Belief in the value of attention to detail.

Qualifications

• DHF or Gate safe qualification.
• Electrical qualifications (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS certificated verified clear (can be provided).
