AUXILIARY NURSE - NORTH YORKSHIRE

We have a position available in our small animal department, which is based across all our sites including
Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Pateley Bridge and Easingwold.
All our sites are RCVS and ISFM Cat Friendly accredited.
This varied role will involve providing a supportive function across the theatre, kennels, large animal, laboratory and consulting areas. It will include managing the washing and laundry, completing infection control and quality control measures, sterilizing and preparing kits and equipment, patient handling and exercise, supporting the client care team, enhancing client communication, running and sending laboratory samples and supporting vets in consult.

Our amazing team of 18 FTE nurses, support our 16 FTE small animal vets. We have a wealth of existing experience in the team, including nurses with additional qualifications in medical nursing, surgery and nutrition. Our vets include
Advanced Practitioners in medicine, surgery and general practice. We encourage personal development and want to help you grow and deliver your expanding skillset.
The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, video endoscopy (including diathermy), fully integrated internal lab facilities, visiting CT scanner and separate dog, cat and isolation facilities.
From the semi-rural, cathedral city of Ripon, both the Yorkshire Dales and North
York Moors national parks are on the immediate doorstep. Ripon is well-serviced in all departments, but specifically with an excellent choice of schools.
