My client is a global powerhouse in the financial services space looking for a Director of Engineering to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to globally distributed Software Development teams. You will work closely with development vendors to implement innovative software solutions while providing coaching and mentoring to enhance the skill and career development of your teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that meet your client's needs and make a real impact in the process.
Director of Engineering - Required Experience:
- 10 years' experience in Technology/Software Development with 5 years' in Senior Management positions including previous roles E.g. Software Engineering Manager, Architect, Programme Manager.
- Strong experience managing client and vendor relationships.
- Software Development and Systems Administration background with a deep and broad knowledge of technologies across the full stack.
- Solid knowledge, understanding and experience of AWS and/or Azure.
- Demonstrable experience in the delivery/implementation of large-scale cross-functional projects.
- Previous experience in Strategy Development with the ability to identify, evaluate and take advantage of opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and performance of engineering capability and all solutions produced.
- Ability to lead, coach, and mentor and grow software engineering teams, taking an active involvement in code reviews, training, career development and planning.
- Ability to retain and attract top engineering talent to grow out engineering teams.
- Experience in the Healthcare domain.
