Azure Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (EUC)

Bristol (Hybrid)

£60,000

As Cloud Infrastructure Specialist you will play a crucial role in providing subject matter expertise on various Cloud/Azure infrastructure technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's infrastructure, leading on business-critical IT projects and act as an escalation position for the infrastructure team.

The Azure Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will act as the SME for Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) and related Microsoft technologies. You will be responsible for managing the design, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle of the environment.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist responsibilities:

  • Implement new applications, improve existing systems, and ensure optimal system performance.
  • System Management and Documentation: Review and manage capacity requirements. Document and maintain configuration details for design, routines, processes, and tools. Document all changes to existing systems.
  • Process Improvement and Security:Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions based on technical analysis.Ensure IT continuity plans, technology, and tools safeguard data integrity, security, and access.
  • Project Management and Communication: Plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines and targets. Represent Infrastructure at team, department, and supplier meetings. Coordinate with IT teams to communicate service outages effectively.
  • Training and Development: Develop and maintain knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with new processes and developments.

Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of current desktop, laptop, and Azure infrastructure
  • Expertise in InTune for deploying laptop operating systems and software packages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems, core applications, Office 365, Microsoft AD, DNS, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Azure experience and general networking skills, particularly in wireless networking and VPNs.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as a team player.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects from conception to completion.
