The Role
Working in an Azure Cloud environment, you will optimise their systems for reliability, performance, scalability and security. - Azure Container App Services - AKS nice to have the deeper understanding but everything is running in Container Apps.
- C#.NET, SQL Server, COSMOS - intermediate coding skills
You won't be writing production code but they want someone who has intermediate skills in C#.NET and can dig into the code when things go wrong with their services and build internal tooling and developer platforms. You will be able to bounce ideas off the Software Engineering team and learn anything new as required.
On-Call:
As an SRE you will be required to participate in the on-call rota 1 week in 3. This is for escalations from the Support team and on average is currently only 1 call per week and major outages are very rare as their systems are stable (your role will be to proactively make them more reliable).
Location:
This is a Fully remote role (UK based only) with no expectation to be in the office but they do have meet-ups every 2 months if you can get to Cambridge - not essential though.
