SalaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and detail-orientated hard working person to join the team at our Marsh Barton Bakery as a Bakery Assistant focusing on packing and cleaning; ensuring the bakery is ready to go the next day.
No specific experience is required, although a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude is always appreciated.
The role would suit someone who doesn't mind working on their own (with a podcast or your favourite playlist) and is looking for full time hours spread across the afternoon period, Monday-Friday. The job involves being on your feet for most of the day, lifting up to 25 kilos regularly, using pallet trucks and potentially the forklift.
The working hours, although not set in stone, are currently planned for 11am-7pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Making and labelling boxes
- Packing cake
- Stacking pallets and cages
- Daily cleaning of the production area including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning equipment, machinery, surfaces and walls
- Weekly cleaning of the office and staff areas
- Empty all bins and dispose of waste
- Restock cleaning supplies
- Follow Health and Safety regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with production staff to ensure cleanliness and compliance
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Please note, this job is in our wholesale bakery on Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, and not our cafe.

Pay: £11.44 per hour
