About Us:
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full-time Bakery Operatives at our Main Bakery in Lostock. Our commitment to quality products and the contribution of our employees has been the cornerstone of our success. As a Bakery Operative, you will play a crucial role in our production process, working collaboratively within a fast-paced and friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to achieve daily production requirements
Operate various equipment such as ovens, conveyors, bread racks, and mixers
Pack various freshly made baked products on the packing line
Adhere to health and safety policies on-site
Engage in manual handling, lifting, and carrying tasks
All roles involve standing for the duration of the shift
Shift Pattern:
Shifts: Day Shift - 6:00am to 14:00pm
7:00am to 15:00pm
Night Shift - 18:00pm to 02:00am
19:00 to 03:00am
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week - 8.5 hours per day - 5 days out of 7 with occasional Sunday shifts
Shift Finish: Our policy is "job & finish" meaning when the job is done then the staff finish for the day. As production levels will vary on a daily basis, you will have to be flexible with your working hours
Requirements:
Good spoken and written communication skills
Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
Team player mindset with a focus on achieving quality production goals
Experience in the food manufacturing environment is required; full on-the-job training provided
Ability to deliver and maintain high-quality standards
All operative positions are initially offered on temporary contracts, with the potential for permanent positions based on performance and reliability
Must be 18 years and over (Due to the use of machinery)
Eligibility to work in the UK is a prerequisite
