The Bakery Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing employees and coordinating activities of the Bakery department. The role will also involve assisting with baking and other areas of the department.
Duties will include:
- Observing employees to ensure proper departmental procedures and standards are followed
- Check quality and consistency of finished products
- Uphold safety and security procedures
- Monitor health code compliance such as sanitation, temperatures and pull dates
- Coordinate activities to achieve sales and merchandising plan for department
- Oversee and participate in product presentation and merchandising
- Train and encourage personnel
- Assist with physical inventory periodically
- Assist with orders to buy equipment, products and supplies
- Check and coordinate maintenance and repairs for machinery, equipment and implements
- Provide and ensure prompt and courteous member service
The successful Bakery Supervisor will:
- Be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent preferred
- Be required to complete a Food Safety Certification required within 30 days
- Have bakery experience ideally
- Be computer literate and have strong maths skills preferred
