NHS Catering Assistant

Manpower is recruiting dedicated individuals to join our team as Catering Assistants within the NHS. As an NHS Catering Assistant, you will work collaboratively with a team to deliver catering services in accordance with stringent hygiene standards and Food Hygiene Legislation,
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Upholding strict hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Assisting in the efficient and timely delivery of food services in a healthcare environment.
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Supporting food preparation in the kitchen as required.
- Performing cleaning and dishwasher duties, along with shutdown procedures.
We are looking for candidates who:
- preferably has catering / retail experience or a willingness to learn
- if flexible with working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
- has a positive attitude and a friendly, caring demeanour
- enjoys working as part of a team.
- has a good level of English and maths
- is conscientiousness and has a strong work ethic
Working Hours: You'll work either 20 hours per week, from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, five days a week including weekends.
Alternatively, there's an option for a 30-hour week, any 3 days of the week including weekends from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with two 30-minute breaks during the day.
Hourly Rate:
- £11.45 on weekdays
- £16.14 on Saturdays and nights
- £20.95 on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Requirements: A standard DBS check and satisfactory references are required. The cost of the DBS check will be covered by the NHS.
