Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To provide advice and support in specific areas to others in relation to interpretation, adoption and operation of elective access standard operating procedures and elective access policy.
  • To provide expertise in using patient and clinical systems, and to promote the use of standardised patient data capture mechanisms including templates, guidelines and protocols.
  • To have an in-depth technical understanding of how the e-RS system works and how to manage work lists within it.
  • To manage the Cardiology Direct Access bookings Cross site.
  • To manage ERS Appointment Slot Issue Drop off
  • To manage appointments for Booking via ERS
  • To manage appointment Slot Issues via ERS
  • To manage missing referrals via ERS
  • To manage referral for review via ERS.

Education & professional qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Further study for professional memberships or management qualifications
  • Evidence of continuing personal development

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of providing operational knowledge to support development of strategies and implementation plans
  • Experience of promoting good practice to ensure the highest standards of conduct.
  • Experience of managing waiting lists
  • Understanding of confidentiality, data protection requirements and the frameworks set out in the NHS • E Information Governance Toolkit
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of contributing to development and maintenance of policies, procedures and day to day working practices.
  • Experience managing implementation of cross organisation support

Skills and Aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to work with them to ensure needs are met
