We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience of working in a health care setting, who is keen to become part of and participate in assisting the Barnet Hospital Quality Governance team in embedding governance processes across the Business Unit by supporting the team in operationally managing those processes.

The post holder is responsible for supporting the administration of Quality Governance within the Medicine and Urgent Care Division. This will include, but will not be limited to patient safety, risk, incidents, complaints, clinical performance, compliance and audit.
The post holder will work closely with the Quality Governance, operational and corporate management teams and staff at all levels in the organisation and be required to work independently, under supervision and as part of a team.

The successful post holder will provide administrative support for the Barnet Hospital Quality Governance medicine and urgent care (MUC) divisional team.
• To provide Quality Governance administrative support to the Division, including meeting coordination, as well as producing and circulating all relevant paperwork.
• To organise team meetings as directed ensuring that all relevant information is available when required.
• To provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to support the Quality Governance framework within the Division
• To manage and maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive records of projects as directed within patient safety, risk, incidents, complaints, compliance and clinical audit
• To manage administrative processes through the support of high quality communication, data and information systems
• To assist in the collection of data from a variety of sources, and ensuring that the data contributed are accurate, checking data entered and ensuring completeness
• To undertake general office and administrative duties when required, ie, typing, organising meetings and events, taking minutes of meetings, photocopying and filing
• To ensure that the actions are monitored and outcomes of Governance meetings are met in consultation with the Lead for Governance
• To ensure timely communication of all related correspondence to Divisional Quality Governance
• To coordinate production of programme summary progress reports, including presentation of highlight reports for individual projects
• To support the maintenance and improvement of complaints process, policy and procedures
• Exercise a high degree of tact, discretion and persuasive skills when investigating complaints and in dealings with staff and complainants.
• To support the management of relevant databases, participating in data entry and production of meaningful statistical analysis of reported compliance outcome activity.
• To support the development of information systems to maintain and improve the quality of clinical data relating to compliance with National Institute Clinical Excellence (NICE) standards and information of clinical audit and compliance with other quality standards.
• To support in the development of the implementation of tools to support evaluation of collated CQC outcome compliance evidence to support quality improvement across RFLT and our registered locations as well as clinical governance practice and clinical audit.
• To support in the analysis of the results of the tools used to evaluate CQC outcome compliance and clinical governance practice and clinical audit.
• To support the team to develop, maintain and monitor a system for review of information in clinical audit activities in relation to safety, complaints and patients surveys including findings and recommendations from National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), National Service Framework (NSF) and National Confidential Enquiry (NCEPOD).
• To ensure confidentiality of all written verbal and electronic information.
• To support the Patient Safety and Risk/Quality governance managers in the prompt and accurate identification of patient safety issues
• To support staff in the recording, investigation, action plan and evaluation of patient safety issues and risks
