An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part-time band 5 Podiatrist to join Sussex Community NHS Foundation trust, in our Bognor/Chichester locality.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is enthusiastic, dynamic and keen to develop their clinical skills. With support from specialist colleagues, you will be working within a variety of settings to manage an at risk caseload.

Our Clinical Rotation programme includes competency lead frameworks for; Nail surgery, MSK, and Diabetic MDT clinics. We ensure regular individual and group supervision - giving individuals a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills at your pace
The post holder must hold a current full driving licence. A car owner is preferable but the trust does offer attractive care leasing schemes.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from a BSc qualified and HCPC registered podiatrist. This post would suit a new graduate Podiatrist due to qualify this summer.
You will work as part of the podiatry team, providing assessment and treatment for patients referred for assessment and intervention.
You will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, reviewing of care plans and potentially discharging patients when their course of treatment is completed. This will occur in a variety of clinical locations, including domiciliary settings.
As part of your treatment planning you will be expected to deliver health promotion and education to maximise the patients potential gain from their Podiatry intervention.

Job responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality care to a diverse range of podiatry patients in a wide variety of settings. To assess diagnose, treat, plan and manage the podiatric (lower limb and foot health) needs of the local population in a wide variety of settings, in order to maintain patient mobility and independence. We do not provide Social Nail Cutting Services.
- To work in collaboration with a team of Podiatrists and other care providers to ensure seamless care delivery for all patients and where appropriate to liaise with and refer and work under direction on Band 6.
