Job Title: Community Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing holistic care and support to individuals within the community. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate their journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ occupational performance and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and needs.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance clients’ engagement in meaningful activities and daily living tasks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
  • Offer guidance and support to clients and their families to promote independence and self-management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community setting.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills with a client-centered approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice.
