Job Details

• Band 6 Community Nurse
• Start:ASAP
• PAY: £26 per hour
• 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Working across - Mid Bedfordshire patch - Ampthill, Shefford, Biggleswad
• Working days - eg Monday-Friday): Across 7 days as required
• Working hours - eg 09.00-17.00): 08:00 - 20:00
• RiO/EMIS User -Both

Organization and Planning:

• You'll be the master of schedules, juggling your own workload and that of others. You'll prioritize tasks, plan ahead, and delegate effectively to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Think of yourself as the team's captain. When needed, you'll step up and manage the clinical staff, including nurses and assistants.
• Fairness is key. You'll manage team schedules, including time off and annual leave, ensuring everyone gets their deserved break without leaving the rest hanging.
• You'll be the resident expert on hospital policies and procedures, making sure everyone plays by the book.

Key skills:

• You will be expected to support all same day unplanned care
• Catheters (all)
• Palliatives (symptom control, crisis calls
• New pressure ulcer assessment and wound car
• Care break down - holistic assessment, equipment provision

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead by example! Be mindful of your role model status, manage your own boundaries, and know when to seek guidance from clinical and management supervisors.
