Hours: Mon - Fri - 15 - 37.5 hours per week
Pay rate: £19.10-£30.56 (uplifts for nights, weekends and Bank Holidays)

Alder Hey Childrens NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking organised and motivated candidates to fulfil an SLT opportunity with the community team in the Liverpool and Sefton areas under a long-term placement contract. The applicant will have knowledge and experience of EMIS and working in a similar role with Children who have communication difficulties. The postholder will be given a service induction including training on patient related IT processes and systems.
Role Details:
- To work with the team leader and neighbourhood team of Speech and Language Therapists to provide a high-quality Speech and Language therapy service to children aged 0-19 in a variety of community settings including clinics, schools and nurseries.
- To provide a specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service to children and young people who present with a range of eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (Dysphagia).
- Provide therapeutic intervention using specialist knowledge to children with a variety of speech, language and communication difficulties.
- Model and support less experienced clinical staff to use specialist skills in assessing children with a complex combination of communication difficulties and disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with other partner agencies and carers to enable them to understand the communication difficulty and to provide appropriate advice, support and intervention.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold a Degree in Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent
- Be HCPC registered
- Have previous NHS experience working with children with communication issues.
- Be dysphagia competent (desirable)
- Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
