Bromley are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Mental health Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team to work within the community. The client offers a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Band 6 Mental health Occupational Therapist.
Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to home environment.Intermediate Care.Provide specialist functional assessments including assessments of daily living skills using the Model of Human.Occupational assessment tools to ascertain level of functional ability, related risk factors, level of support, and accommodation needs to implement community care plans.Lead on and deliver group programmes alongside other OT staff and to carry a generic caseload of care coordinated clients as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.Provide specialist recovery/vocational/social inclusion focused assessments and advice, with an emphasis on supporting clients with their employment, education, and training goals.Providing expert advice, and assessments for equipment and modifications.Recommending adaptations.Hospital Discharge, recommending packages of care.An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of dignity & respect when dealing with people. Previous experience working as an Mental health Occupational Therapist in the community and Mental Health settings.Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS.Manual handling experience.HCPC Registration.Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).Have all immunisations.Eligibility to work in the UK.Occupational Therapist Qualification.Benefits of Working with Bromley.
