- BSc Degree in Physiotherapy or Diploma or equivalent
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration for profession
- Evidence or portfolio of post-graduate continued development in specialist clinical area
- Membership of specialist interest group
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of study or intention to study at masters level

Experience

- Substantial postgraduate experience at a Band 6 level including within specialist area
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches for the management of patients with complex conditions

- Awareness of cognitive behavioural approaches to rehabilitation
- Experienced supervising therapy staff, and taking university students placements
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of working in acute neuro and long term neuro rehab settings

- Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
- Evidence of active involvement in service development & contribution to change within the workplace
