Position Overview: As a Band 8a/b Educational Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the psychological well-being and development of children and young people. You will work collaboratively with schools, parents, and other professionals to assess, formulate interventions, and provide expert guidance to enhance the educational experiences of individuals. This role offers a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, fostering an environment that empowers minds and shapes futures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducting psychological assessments to identify learning and behavioral needs, providing expert insights and recommendations.
2. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
3. Offering consultation and training to school staff on psychological aspects affecting learning and development.
4. Providing therapeutic interventions to support children and young people in overcoming emotional and behavioral challenges.
5. Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and practices that promote positive mental health and well-being in educational settings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or equivalent qualification).
2. HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
3. Significant experience working as an Educational Psychologist, preferably at Band 8a/b level.
4. Strong assessment, formulation, and intervention skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
6. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in educational psychology.
