Bandsaw Operative

The Job People are looking for Bandsaw Operatives to join a well-established Manufacturing company in Tile Hill, Coventry. Candidates will ideally have experience in using a bandsaw and have experience in cutting metal objects. You will practice uniform cutting and have the ability to cut irregular patterns. You will have a keen eye for detail and ensure a top-quality product is produced for the end customer.

Full inhouse training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for a positive can-do attitude with drive to succeed.

Shift Hours as a Bandsaw Operative: 

• Fixed AM shift
• 06.00 – 16.00; Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
• 06.00 – 15.00; Thursday
• OT available on Friday’s & Saturday’s.
• Fixed Night shift
• 18.00 – 06.00; Monday to Thursday
• Overtime available on Friday’s & Saturday’s

Opportunity to go permanent after a qualifying period.

Pay Rates for a Bandsaw Operative:

• £12.00 - £13.50 per hour on AM shift
• + £3.00 per hour for Nights – Earn up to £17.00 per hour on nights.
• Overtime is paid after 38 hours.
• X 1.25 up to 10 hours overtime
• X 1.5 after 11 hours overtime
• Hours can flex from time to time depending on customer order deadlines.
• Double time overtime is also offered to all colleagues on occasions.

Pay reviews / increases take place on a regular basis – dependant on your skill set.

Duties as a Bandsaw Operative in Tile Hill, Coventry:

• Responsible for ensuring you operate the bandsaw machine following the training provided and strict health & safety procedures.
• You will need to be able to cut the materials vertically & horizontally using the correct axis to cut the metal as required.
• Full training provided.
• Candidates must have a keen eye for detail.
