We are working in partnership with Swindon Borough Council, providing high-quality accommodation and support for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children - UASC (16-25 years old) in the area.
We are looking for flexible bank/Casual Support Workers who share our vision and purpose, to join our expanding team.
We are ideally looking for an experienced Support Worker, however we will also consider anyone with the right attitude and transferable skills.
You'll be based at a large home close to the centre of Swindon, boasting generous living and office space with accommodation for up to 6 young people; mostly Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
- You'll assist in the safety, security and smooth running of the home for both residents and staff.
- You'll need to bring a strong understanding of the needs young people in care and specifically those who become looked after due to being unaccompanied asylum seeking children.
- You understand the impact of trauma and how it can affect behaviour.
- You'll understand the importance of providing individualised plans and support for each person, working in partnership with others to maintain multi-agency links and relationships.
- You'll need to have excellent organisation and team working skills to provide a high-quality service to those we look after.
- You'll want to join passionate and dedicated service, making a lasting difference to the lives of young people in care.

Position:Support Worker (Job ID 820)
Hours: Casual basis picking up shifts as and when they become available. Weekday and weekend shifts are required. Sleep shifts are also available.
Contract: Casual Zero hour basis
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Pay: £12 per/hr for days plus bank worker holiday pay. Sleep shifts paid at £9.40 per hour (earn over £75 a night)
