Salary: £12.84 per hour (Mon - Fri) to £16.05 per hour (Sat & Sun)

Contract Type: Bank

Essential Requirements

The appointed Specialist Recovery Worker will:

  • Have experience of working in mental health services or lived experiences, working with individuals who have forensic/offending history and/or complex needs.
  • Have an understanding of recovery focused and asset based support, and how to apply positive risk management
  • Have an understanding of substance misuse issues and how to work with clients to safely manage their substance misuse
  • Possess or be willing to work towards a relevant Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
  • Visa Sponsorship is NOT available for this role

The Role

The essence of the Specialist Recovery Worker role is to provide support for people with complex needs and/or whom have a forensic history leaving acute mental health services. This will be delivered through a range of interventions such as telephone or face to face support and developing peer support. The service will support clients with forensic/offending history and/or their complex needs, ensuring that people are at the centre of what we do and take a holistic view of individual’s requirements.

As a Specialist Recovery Worker you will be working alongside clients, focusing on their strengths and building their resilience to manage their mental health and wellbeing. If you feel you have the skills to work as part of this dynamic team then we are keen to hear from you.

About You

Joining our team as a Specialist Recovery Worker, you will be passionate about supporting people through their recovery journey, thinking innovatively and taking a Can Do approach to offer the best means of support. You will have experience of positive risk management, knowledge of the relevant CQC Regulations, and have experience of supporting people in their day-to-day life.

You will be flexible able to meet the needs of the service, including working day time, evening, weekend and Bank Holiday shifts on a rota basis. You will also feel confident to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, as well as building positive relationships within the local community.
