Your Role

- Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences.
- Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions.
- Communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs, and helping people to communicate effectively with others, too.
- Work across various shift patterns including early, late, weekend or night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available.
Your Service
Smythe House is a warm and welcoming home that supports people living there with PWS to live independent, healthy lives and making sure they always have choice. People are encouraged to get involved with planning their own menu’s and cooking, and making decisions about their home. Everything is centered around the individual and their own goals; whether that’s finding work, starting a new hobby or achieving a health milestone.

You may be new to care, or already have experience in the social care sector or NHS (Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant). As long as you come with a person-centred approach, a caring nature, and you are able to demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a team to support disabled and autistic people – then we’re here to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to succeed.
