Arabian Gulf Business Insight (agbi.com), is a business news platform launched last year and dedicated to creating insightful content for senior business leaders across the MENA region and global markets. With a brand ethos of ‘others tell you what, we tell you why’, AGBI has caught the attention of the world’s biggest companies across the region. We are now recruiting for a banking and Finance Editor to join our newsroom in Dubai.

Reporting to the AGBI Editor-in-Chief (EIC), the banking and Finance Editor will work to develop and deliver timely, insightful news, analysis and opinion in the Gulf and wider Middle East. The banking and Finance Editor will be the subject matter expert within the team and will develop contacts and insights into areas including but not limited to financial sector stability, stock markets, bonds, private equity, banking regulation, project finance, ratings actions, and Islamic finance.

The banking and Finance Editor will contribute to the daily flow of stories, interviews, opinion pieces and content ideas; generate high-quality content for the website to produce work that is original, accurate and in line with the AGBI EIC’s vision to champion incisive, insightful and informative, MENA-relevant journalism.

The banking and Finance Editor will also ensure that all content is aligned with the organisation's brand values, audience objectives and commercial ambitions; help to drive the expansion of the breadth and depth of coverage of markets, industries and economies in the Gulf region and beyond, with the goal of making AGBI essential reading for regional and international business leaders alike.

Suitable candidates will have five years' relevant reporting experience, having worked in a busy newsroom.
