Bar and Waiting Staff

We are looking to recruit team members to work in the beautiful sea facing Roker Hotel.

You as a team member will be polite, presentable and friendly with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality, work well within a team, and independently.

We are looking for a cheerful personality who enjoys and prides themselves on delivering high customer service at all times and has a passion for food and drink and who can work well under pressure.

Bar and server experience would be an advantage, although full training will be given.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
- Process customer payments and operate cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area

Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of culinary terms, ingredients, and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills to ensure efficient service without compromising quality
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic restaurant environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff for smooth operations

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour
