The Southbourne Club has an exciting full-time opportunity to manage a brilliant team at our busy club. As well as a generous salary the position also offers a pension scheme, 28 days holiday a year including bank holidays (some taken in lieu), free parking and onsite kitchen facilities.

The job is 40 hours a week which includes evenings and weekends.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the club secretary your role will be at the heart of everything the club does. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the bar ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Your duties will include being the lead friendly face of the club serving at the bar, hiring (when required), staff rotas', supporting the bar team, keeping the bar clean and tidy, stock ordering, assisting with stock takes, banking and administration, membership checks at the bar and signing guests in, emptying the gambling machines, regularly cleaning the pipes and occasionally running to the cash and carry for stock.
With over 500 members, the club caters for a successful Bowls Team, Darts Teams and offers facilities such as a large Snooker Room, Pool, Table Football and gaming machines. The club hosts exciting live music events all year round, seasonal events, as well as parties for private members.

What do I need to apply?

We are looking for a hands-on manager who will lead by example, uphold high standards and know what good looks like. You will have either previous bar leadership experience as a manger or be a highly driven supervisor with people management experience looking to take that step up.

A full UK drivers licence is required for this job.
