Job description

We’re looking to recruit a part-time Bar Supervisor to join the team at NG-ONE Nightclub in Nottingham. Working closely with the Assistant and General Manager you will:

· Take responsibility for the upkeep, hygiene and presentation of the bars and back of house areas

· Work closely with the supervisors to enforce standards, and ensure staff compliance with procedures

· Assist with training of staff

· Assist with stock management and record keeping

· Assist with health and safety compliance and the responsible sale of alcohol

· Deal with customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner

· Serve customers at the bar, cloakroom and entry counters as required

· Cash up tills

· Gain an understanding of the Assistant Managers role and deputise as required

The ideal candidate will:

· Have experience in a hospitality based supervisory role.

· Be comfortable working as part of a team, and be able to lead when required

· Have excellent written and oral communication skills

· Be able to turn their hand to new tasks and procedures with ease and take on additional responsibilities as required

· Have previous cash handling experience

· Be able to work flexibly and manage changing priorities

· Respond to new and unforeseen situations in a calm and rational manner

· Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office software

· Hold a valid personal licence or first aid certificate, although not essential

You will need to be available to work across Friday and Saturday nights, and be able to take a flexible approach to your working pattern to accommodate additional event nights as needed. Shifts could also include Monday or Tuesday daytimes.

Although the contract is on a zero hours basis, we are looking for someone who can offer a good level of availability to work regular shifts. There is the future possibility to develop the role further, with a higher number of hours becoming available as the business explores new opportunities.
