Barista
We are a family-run Australian business that operates food and beverage outlets at airports, creating exceptional experiences for all our customers. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Luton Airport. The site is an exciting new concept - delivering premium quality coffee, sandwiches, wraps and bowls within a grab & go setting. This will be a completely new brand, inspired by the popular Australian brunch scene and you will be key to its successful delivery.
You'll be a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic team player, passionate about coffee and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in a vibrant coffee-stop setting.
This is an hourly paid role, and you will be required to work shifts. Shifts may include an early morning start (e.g 2 am) or a late finish (e.g 11.30 pm) (there is no requirement for split or double shifts).
The role
To ensure that our consistently high level of service is enjoyed by our customers at all times and in line with our policies and procedures. To deliver an outstanding coffee-stop experience and to work effectively with the back of house team to provide first class service with particular attention to hospitality and the promotion of sales.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Qualifications
- Trained barista.
Relevant experience
- Significant previous barista experience is essential
- Familiar with health and safety/food standard requirements
- Familiar with an airport-based hospitality setting - preferred but not essential
- Proven ability to generate sales in a hospitality setting.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow a process and maintain high levels of service delivery under pressure
- Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrable knowledge of food and beverages
- Well-developed customer service skills
- Ability to effectively handle customer complaints.

Please note: Any successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide proof of their right to work in the UK
- Hold an Airport Security ID Pass, which we will help you obtain, in order to access our site. The application process for which includes the production of a valid passport and a criminal record check together with 5 years personal/employment referencing. It is essential that you are able to meet this requirement.

Salary
£11.00 per hour plus the following benefits:
