About the role
As a Barrel Park Operator within our dedicated teams at Cambus you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky supply process and will oversee and control the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures.
You’ll be responsible for transporting empty casks to the Filling store, Cooperage and Barrel-park using telehandlers, Rough Terrain Forklifts, and tractor/trailers.
Own the process of loading and unloading safely and efficiently.
Successfully and safely build cask stows (pyramids) whilst adapting to last minute changes
Be responsible for attending daily meetings and feedback on issues or any performances improvements and apply all safety, environmental and HMRC standards and procedures.
You’ll actively support and contribute to the Business strategies.
Respond promptly and appropriately to any deviations from scheduled output and any emergency and breakdown situations.
The role holder is required to manually handle the casks and training will be provided to any successful applicants.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other key performance indicators and targets including production quality and HMRC compliance.
Shifts
Your rota on our 3 shifts pattern consists of:
Early shift - Monday to Thursday 5.45am to 1.45pm and Friday 5:45am to 12:30pm
Back shift - Monday to Thursday 1:45pm to 10:00pm Friday 12:30pm to 6:30pm
Nightshift - Sunday to Friday 10:00pm to 5.45am
About you
We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
Be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. Have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.
It would be advantageous if you had a forklift and/or telehandler licence however this is not essential (this should be stated on your resume/CV).

You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners to achieve shared and individual goals.
You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
