Battery Design Engineer - Mechanical

Tiro Partners are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global engineering consultant on a contract basis. This is to support a client in the Aerospace industry. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of all facets of ESS design including cell selection, thermal and mechanical pack design and analysis, design for manufacture and assembly, verification and certification. Excellent organisational & communication skills are vital as the role will require working on multiple projects simultaneously.
This is a 12 month rolling contract (outside of IR35)
Job requirements:

• Deep understanding of battery systems and the underlying technology
• Experience in battery pack design and bsttery management systems.
• Experience in design and analysis tools such as CAD & FE
