A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Battery Test Engineer at a market-leading group in specialist vehicles. If successful you will be responsible for providing testing services for Battery/Module/Cell, including performance, life cycle, durability, abuse, and strip and rate.

This role is to carry out all types of Battery testing (including Performance, life cycle, durability, safety, abuse and environmental), working within a team of engineers and technicians to co-ordinate and deliver test activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing customer testing needs to ensure Battery Tests are carried out on time and within budget.
• Ensure content including review and inclusion of any regulations,
• Prepare internal Battery Test execution documentation.
• Analyse results including engineering observations, interpretations, and statements of conformity.
• Continuously adapt processes and procedures for development.

Skills/ Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands on experience performing tests within a lab or workshop environment, or working in the design and development of batteries, especially those containing lithium (Desirable)
• Working with electric vehicles or sub-systems or other relevant HV systems (Desirable)
• Experienced of CAN (Desirable)
• Development and commissioning of test rigs and apparatus.
• Practiced in data analysis and presentation and writing of technical reports.
• Degree or equivalent in technical/electrical disciplines
