Are you a Behaviour Mentor committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?  We are recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join our fantastic team at The Grange Therapeutic School.

Job Title:          Behaviour MentorLower School

Salary:              £21,343.33 per annum

Location:         The Grange Therapeutic School, Knossington, Leicestershire

Hours:              42.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30-5:00 & Friday 8:30 4:00 

Contract:          Permanent; Term Time only

Must be UK based.

About the role

  • Assisting and managing the return of students back to the classroom.
  • Implementing agreed strategies to manage and improve the behaviour of students in the school.
  • Monitor and analyse the behaviour of students using the online behaviour management system.
  • Providing an on-call response to support teaching staff, when appropriate
  • Liaising with teaching staff to support teaching and learning.
  • Supporting students in following the rules of the school, helping to enforce school behaviour expectations.

The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent special school for young people aged 8 -18 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our school is based in a Victorian country house near Oakham with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils. With access to woods and lakes on site, the school has an ethos about delivering a personalised curriculum tailored to, and driven by, the individuals. Behaviour is currently rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
