Our mission is to provide tailored support to Year 8 students grappling with behavioural challenges in Maidenhead. Through fostering a supportive and enriching environment, our goal is to help them reintegrate into mainstream education with newfound confidence and skills.
Responsibilities: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering trust and a positive learning relationship.
- Plan and lead educational outings to engaging places such as museums, art galleries, and more.
- Work closely with the student on behaviour management, aiding in the development of essential social and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and counsellors to create personalized learning strategies.
- Monitor progress and adjust approaches to ensure the student's growth and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students facing behavioural difficulties is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners.
- Creativity in designing engaging educational activities.
- Flexibility to adapt to the student's needs and changing situations.
